    1920s Advertising Celluloid Sewing Tape Measure-USE SUNSET DYES” in English and French made by the Parisian Novelty Company, Chicago. The Parisian Novelty Company originated in Chicago, Illinois in 1898 as a manufacturer of advertisement novelties like pinback buttons, and other celluloid items such as this tape measure. This tape measure, probably made for distribution in Canada has a pat date of 11-4-1919. This tape still works even though it is 100 years old. It is in fantastic shape. I am retired and downsizing over 45 years of collections. I have had this in my personal collection since 1984 USPS First Class.
